Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account.
02Delete without the app
Email privacy@anidoapp.com from the email address you use for Anido, with the subject "Delete my account".
- We'll send a code to that address to confirm it's you.
- If you used Sign in with Apple and chose "Hide My Email", tell us, and we'll confirm it's you another way.
- Someone you authorize can ask for you. We'll ask for proof of permission.
We aim to reply within 2 business days.
03What we delete
- Your profile: name, photo, email, phone number, language and display settings.
- Your sign-in details and signed-in devices.
- Your notification settings and push tokens.
- Your membership in every care team.
- Your privacy choices, and the link between you and any analytics data.
- Pending invites you sent.
04What stays, and why
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Entries you made in a care record, like doses given, notes and handovers | They are part of the elder's care history. The rest of the care team needs an accurate record of who did what. They stay under your name. Where the law gives you this right, you can ask us to show "Former member" instead. | While that care circle exists |
| Information other people added | It belongs to their care record, not your account | While that care circle exists |
| Files already downloaded or shared | Once a care report leaves Anido, we can't reach it | Outside our control |
| Records of the consents you gave | To show what you agreed to, if asked by a regulator or court | Life of the account + 5 years |
| Security logs | To protect accounts and investigate misuse | 12 months |
| Support emails | To answer follow-up questions | 24 months |
| Information we must keep by law, or for a legal claim | Legal duty | As long as the law requires |
If you turned on "Help improve Anido's AI", de-identified copies already used can't be linked back to you.
05If you're the organizer
Every care team needs at least one organizer. If you are the only organizer of a care team, before you can delete your account you need to either:
- Hand over the organizer role to another member (Team › member › Role › Organizer), or
- Delete the elder's information (Settings › Privacy & data › Delete the elder's information). This deletes the whole care circle for everyone.
The app walks you through this when you tap Delete my account.
06Other ways to remove information
- Leave this care team: removes you from one care team but keeps your account. Your past entries stay under your name.
- Delete the elder's information (organizers only): deletes everything about that elder for the whole care team. We tell the other members.
- Delete one item: you can delete a document or photo you added. Care record entries can't be erased one by one; you can add a correction instead.
- The elder, or their legal representative, can ask us to access, restrict or delete the elder's information. Email privacy@anidoapp.com.
07How long it takes
- We start right away, and sign you out on all devices.
- Your data is deleted, or de-identified so it can't identify you, within 30 days.
- Copies in our backups are removed within 35 days.
- We also tell our service providers to delete it.
